Dental Staff

Dr. John C. Lo, DMD

My belief is that dentistry is personal: you need to find an office that gets to know you, and know who you are. Dentistry is true primary care, and I believe it's truly a doctor-patient relationship.

Tammi - Dental Hygienist

Tammi is a native to Tacoma and has been in the dental field since 1997. She has been with our office the last 18 years!  Tammi has a passion for dentistry and encourages her patients to strive for optimal oral health.  She is a wonderful communicator and educator and enjoys helping patients see the connection between the mouth and the entire body. She is known for her gentle touch, calm caring demeanor, integrity and her attention to detail.  Tammi cherishes the truly meaningful relationships she has cultivated with our patients over the years. She knows her people very well and can predict with shocking accuracy which of her patients are due to come in just because “it feels like it’s been a while”.  She is just that in tune.  It’s her super power!

Outside of the office Tammi spends most of her time watching her two teenage boys play lacrosse and enjoys being with her family. She is also pretty adventurous and has been known to zip line, bungee jump, and skydive.

Megan - Dental Hygienist

Megan has been with Lo Family Dentistry since 2015 and has been providing exceptional care for her patients ever since. Megan graduated from Pierce College dental hygiene school in 2014. She has been working in dentistry since she was 16 with her mother who is also a hygienist.  She has somehow mastered the delicate balance of being ultra thorough, meticulous and light handed while still being a whole lot of fun at the same time.  She is known for her ability to connect with teens and inspire them to actually enjoy coming in and that’s saying something!

Megan is married and just had her first child, a daughter (and our first baby here at Lo Family in what feels like an eternity) at the end of 2019. Her family is number one in her life and being with them is her favorite place to be. She loves to read and watches entirely too much Netflix. On the flip side she jumped into fitness a few years back, became a bit of an enthusiast really and a heavy weight lifter.  She’s sweet and gentle but also super strong!

Sadie - Dental Hygienist

Teri - Dental Assistant

Teri earned her Dental Assistant Degree from Clover Park Technical College and has been a part of the team since the Summer of 2015. She began as an intern while completing clinical hours for her degree and we jumped at the opportunity to offer her a permanent position. Teri is as organized as they come, knows the functionality of the practice well and is mostly responsible for keeping a beautifully timed methodical approach to how we manage our days clinically.  We as a team are eternally grateful for that gift!  However, her favorite aspect of her work is interacting with patients one on one. She is hilarious and frequently uses her comical disposition to ease any potential patient anxiety.  Whether it's an embarrassing personal story, a movie/tv quote or simply addressing her patient's questions or any concerns in a lighthearted manner, Teri is always working hard to make people laugh. She feels a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day when she can make people smile!

When Teri isn't working, she is likely spending time with her family-which includes her husband Josh, their dog (Ahri), and their two cats (Digit and Maci).

Donna - Dental Assistant - EFDA

Donna has been with Lo Family Dental since September 1997 when she began as a rock star of a pediatric dental assistant.  Ever since her start in dentistry she has had a tremendous interest in the placement of fillings which, with the introduction of the EFDA (expanded function dental auxiliary) program, her interest then turned into a goal.  Dr. Lo sponsored her to attend the program offered at Puget Sound Community College in 2015 in which she passed with flying colors earning her EFDA license in 2016.  Donna is an extreme extrovert, absolutely loves this practice and giving her patients the star treatment they deserve.  We jokingly call her the human Lo Family Dental billboard as she tends to send virtually everyone she meets our way.  She loves to provide great experiences to great people and takes a lot of pride in doing so!  It is very likely you will hear her laughter throughout the office all day everyday.  There is no mistaking that laugh!

Donna has three beautiful children Makayla, Ethan and Molly that keep her young and active. While not at work or at one of her  kids’ numerous activities, competitions or events, chances are you will find her shopping her heart out or hiking and chasing waterfalls. She is full of energy and life and simply delights in being out there living it!

Leslie - Front Desk Admin

Leslie is likely the first smiling face you will see or the first voice you will hear for that matter.  She joined our dental family in 2017 bringing with her 10+ years of dental experience.  She spent several years as a dental assistant before transitioning to front office resulting in a well developed understanding of all things dentistry from both the clinical aspect as well as the administrative side.  Her work ethic is extraordinary and when faced with a seemingly impossible task, she will persist until she has produced the desired result.  Insurance trouble or any mystery issue really?  Leslie has you covered.

Leslie has been married for 26 years, has 25yr old twins and 2 cats.  On her days off she loves spending time with her family and friends, going to concerts, traveling, (the Hawaiian Islands being her favorite) and she is a past Zumba instructor.  Music is a large part of what makes her tick and she seems to have a life experience or movie reference attached to nearly every song she hears. Yet, by far, 80’s rock music is Leslie’s specialty! One of her favorite trips was to Hollywood to visit the Rainbow Bar and Grill and The Whiskey a Go Go on the sunset strip to see her favorite 80’s rock band play.

Coral - Office Manager

Coral joined the practice as a schedule coordinator in October of 2000 while attending pre-requisite classes for Dental Hygiene.  Upon applying for the hygiene program itself we offered her the position as Office Manager and we are so glad she changed her career path to stay on with us.  She has completed continuing education in leadership, communications, conflict resolution and practice management and spent several years in the Mastery of Office Managers program with the intent to contribute to a practice centered and driven by our core values, the main focus being hospitality.  Having literally spent half of her lifetime with us, she considers the practice, team and patients to be woven into the fabric of who she is.  This truly is family to her and creating experiences that reflect that feeling of family, love and comfort for our patients is her greatest objective.  She is our treatment planning and financial guru and works hard to first understand the goals of the patient and then plans and supports them every step of the way towards achieving their specific dental and health goals.  This is all about making things work for you and she is always happy to help!

Coral is married with 2 children and a gaggle of furry family members.  She is usually working toward mastering a new skill, competing or racing.  She spent several years competing in bodybuilding ranking top 10 nationally for two of those years.  Since stepping away from bodybuilding she has worked as a personal trainer, learned to ride dirt bikes, completed several races and spends lots of time on the lake kayaking, paddle boarding and wake surfing.  Never a dull moment!
